Kit Gandir has ...
[He hesitates - not his usual long pause where he seems to forget that he's talking, but genuinely hesitates as though to find the right words.]
He is dead.
[Might as well be straightforward about it. He's got a vice grip on his emotions now - his voice sounds even more monotone than ever.]
...I would request some aid in moving the body to a more appropriate location. There is quite a bit of blood.

What.
How?
I mean ... yeah. I'll, ah. I'll help move him. Uhm. Where - where did it happen?
[Flash of anger.] Who did this?
no subject
[...Beyond probably being Coterie, but there are so many gangs in Kirkwall they could have been anyone.]
However...
...Now is not the time.
His body is not even cold.

[There's shock in his voice; he's not quite processing the words yet.]
Where? Are you sure? I...

[He saw Kit get stabbed. He died in his arms.]
We are near your clinic.

I'm, I'm on my way. Would you like to get him in the Clinic itself? There's cots in the back.

...I am not sure how dwarves deal with their dead.
to action?
[He'd gotten pieces from Sigrun, sometimes added to by Oghren.]
They don't burn their dead, I know that much. But there's a lot of Dwarves in this city. Someone will tell us. We just... We can't mention that he's Legion of the Dead when asking, I don't think.
to action!
We can speak more on the matter... later.
[Anders will find him and what was formerly Kit tucked away in a small alcove near the clinic. He's covered in the dwarf's blood and holding the body protectively like a cat might with a treasured toy.]

I...
[Kit had made Darktown a pleasant prospect to visit. There'd always been work, but Kit could have dropped by on any day and it makes the place feel so much emptier already.]
Let me help you, [he says finally.] Let's get him somewhere warmer.
[Anders holds out his hands, offering help carrying. Medicine Seller is holding Kit's body close - he may not want help - but Anders desperately wants to at least do something no matter how late he is.]

I'm coming. Where are you.
Re: private
(are we all congregating somewhere?)

...where?

When you search for the culprits, be on the lookout for those dealing with partial blindness.
The flash I set off may have been a little
...
...strong.
[A small and petty revenge - their attackers had their lives and Kit was dead. But he still hoped he might have done some permanent damage at least.]

It is something to go upon. [ she agrees, debates a moment whether to gentle her tone. probably even the medicine seller has feelings tucked away somewhere. probably it would also be pointless. ] Speak with Ashara, when she has returned. Do you think this random, or targeted?

...trouble. We are not popular among the gangs down here.
They were organized and knew our movements well enough to set up an ambush.

his prior answer may as well be irrelevant. still in danger, then. and too likely to run if recalled to the gallows as he ought to be. ]
Avoid the house. It is where I would look first. Commit all details you can recall to page; we will require a copy.

[Everything in him cries out to go--to Darktown, where he'd only gone with Kit, where he'd been forbidden from going on his own. Where it's likely he'd end up another body for someone else to mourn over, to move somewhere safer.]
I'll be no use out there, [miserably; he wishes he could be, wishes he could go,] but if there's anything I can do from the Gallows--or after-- [Whatever else he'd say trails off into something like a sob.]
[private] plz pretend this isnt late as balls
Were you--Kit, um. He told me. About what the two of you did, in Darktown. I told him that it wasn't a problem--[ But it had been. She should've told him to heed caution. She should've made him do things legit, safely, in ways that didn't end up with him a bleeding corpse in the middle of Darktown. She should have been responsible. ]--Are one of those groups guilty?
And, ah. Are you al--no, you're not, but--[ She's rambling, a thousand fragments of thoughts flitting through her head, and she can only catch a handful. ]--Do you want me to come?
