'Tis but a scratch

FORM: Sending crystal
SENDER: Gareth
RECIPIENT: All of you guys
WHAT: Gareth has a very necessary question regarding the anchor shards
WHEN: Now
WHERE: Everywhere that has a person with a crystal
NOTES: tw for dismemberment discussions probably

[ A new voice pops up on the Crystals, cheery despite the nature of his query. ]

So, I've been wondering. Has anyone tried just removing the hand their anchor shard is on? Would that get rid of it, or would you just get a glowing green stump?

...If no one has done it, I'm not volunteering, for the record. I've got my finger on my nose. You can't see it, but it's there. I'm just curious about possible options, here.

We both have two hands right now, that naming convention doesn't help at the moment. And I just did. It's Sam.

[Well Samouel, but that would be getting fancy again wouldn't it?]

Mmm... Not necessarily. That name is too much of an innuendo.

Thought I was Two-Handed Gareth.

[After all there isn't another Sam that he is competing with here.]

Sam would probably be best. Honestly I'd probably get tired of being called Two-Handed.

Yes, Sam is a whole lot easier to say. Though I suspect there is still going to be some confusion when we both answer to Gareth.

Also, no cutting off hands or encouraging it. That should really be a last resort kind of thing. Especially for Rifters; that could very well be their link back home.

Someone is snappish. I don't believe I said anything about doing anything to your own hand, just hands in general or the encouragement of it. We are talking publicly after all.

But you can say it another ten times please.

I can only agree to that to a point, especially if your choices are going to affect others. In this case though I highly discourage it.
