Since we've all returned safely from our adventure to pick up the new rifters and the stop in Llomerynn, I'm sure that news of the kraken and sea serpents that attacked have spread throughout. I made sketches from one brought back to shore and found a printer so there are copies that can either be picked up from the naval presence office if you're interested or I can get those to you; I'm hoping to make sure any contacts the Inquisition does have are provided with them so we might have some information on their appearance at least.

While we were in Llomerryn, some of us - Korrin, Anders, Fenris, Warden von Skraedder, and myself - made made contact with one of the high-ranking captains there and...wooed her. For lack of a better term. If you found that towards the end of your stay there you could drink with less hassle? May I thank all of you once again in helping, I couldn't have had better people there to woo an ascendant captain.

As well as this, the captain delivered Templars found adrift into our keeping. All of them in the early stages of Red Lyrium corruption. I believe those working on the Red Lyrium project would be interested in them. She agreed too that she would keep an eye on Tevinter encroachment and Qunari advancement, that may be of to some if it anything comes of it.

If there's anything else you can provide to keep the ships we do have and their crews safe or to earn us goodwill amongst the captains, please let me know, even a small observation made in the fight or from a boat or the shore of them or the krakens. If you don't want to talk over the sending crystal, the office door is open.

Yeah, you're welcome. That Andraste's Mercy was almost as bad as qunari hooch, for sheer strength. Just the thought of it makes my stomach clench. Never having it again, but for that, it was worth the hangover.

You volunteered for it and kept drinking, didn't try swapping out the glasses, signal for a distraction or something. [Araceli's just teasing.] Maybe we should've brought some back. Let someone test out hangover remedies.

We can always acquire some, I'm sure. Not that we don't have maraas-lok, but it's more a punch to the face whereas Andraste's Mercy sneaks up on you. Either way, ugh. If it weren't for that drinking stone, I'd have been useless most of the way back.

All of the kraken was red lyrium and spitting acid. I picked up some ink for sauce if you want to try some? So many fish and squid in that market. And coconuts!

Any news yet on just how these sea monsters became corrupted with red lyrium? Do we think the cause natural, or somehow deliberate?

Señora Delacroix would be best placed to answer as to the minds of Red Templars but from what I know of krakens, that would be a madness beyond even them. I did hear of a shipwreck, and the Red Templars we brought back to Kirkwall were found adrift at sea so the simplest solution seems the most obvious: there was a shipment of red lyrium, the kraken devoured some or all of it, it did to it and the serpents what it does to Templars eating it.

I would hope it's that.

What an ... exciting trip? And thanks for the red lyrium info. Sounds like the boss is on it, but more data is always good.

If you find a minute between all this amazing Inquisition work you're doing, I'm still game for a sailing day trip.

The island had good fishing and I loved Llomerryn, that bit was exciting. Would you like some of the sketches? I'm not a naturalist but I did my best with the one we had.

We absolutely need to go sailing! Just for the chance to go when it's not going to be somewhere with things attacking. I can clear a day whenever you're up for it.

I don't have anything really useful to add about the monsters. They didn't seem to like being cut with my lightsaber blade, but that's not exactly something that can be replicated.

Can I ask what makes a lightsaber blade different to other blades? There's magic and enchantment in Thedas though neither of those are my areas of expertise.

That went... well. I didn't know what I expected, but somehow we managed to pull it off.

[Considering their interesting combination of people in that group, who knew where it might have gone... not to mention the unpredictability of pirate captains... but it had worked out.]

Sometimes you must believe in the end result of the thing so that all the pieces might fall in place. Doubting it is shooting yourself in the foot.

He might have taught you how to play but you were the one who made the choice to come, to sit at the table even after I explained it all. You were the one playing hands with pirates and winning.
