[A cheerful voice booms over the crystal, one with a rather thick accent. It wouldn't be difficult for some to mistake it for Starkhaven, but those who know better can easily tell her origin even before she announces it.]

Take up with the Inquisition, get a fancy magic crystal? I should've joined sooner, when you lot were in my backyard and not across the damn sea! [She laughs.] Lady, I have terrible timing. I guess you only have to see my glowing hand to know that much.

 

Right, introductions. I'm Skadi Iceblade, of White Wolf Hold and I'm here to serve as long as this shard's a part of me. If you need someone to swing a giant sword at your foes, I'm the woman to do it. I'm also offering to teach my fighting style to any who are suited to it. If you're not a mage, but want a connection with the Land of Dreams to give you an edge in battle, I can help you there. Mages won't get much out of this; you already have a better connection than mine, eh? But I won't stop you from watching, if you like.

I hope so. My offer is partly a selfish one; I'd rather not have templars all up in my arse about something that isn't actually magic. Even with what you've said about them, better to be sure.

I cannot blame you for this. Even after encountering one that was kind I cannot stop my suspicions of the rest.

[iceblade]

I don't blame you. They can afford to be kind when there's no lady in charge to tell them what to do. It's what happens after that changes which makes me wonder.

You'll tell me if they give you problems, right?

I give my word that I will. You would be the first I come to.

Good, that's what I like to hear. You're welcome to stop in for less dire reasons, of course.

How are you at climbing?

I still do well with climbing. My time away from the mountains has not stolen that from me.

[iceblade]

Good, good. I'm itching to scale these buildings, and it's more fun with company.

I find I like to sit above the people. It is almost peaceful up there.

[iceblade]

Isn't it? If I can't get a place outside until the paperwork goes through, at least I can get that somewhere.

We could go to one of my favorites soon if you like. It is quick to get to and has room for more than one.
