I've heard it's possible for the rifts to release items, just the same as people... Is it true that it's been a wide range of items, both mundane and unusual?
For anyone who's come across an object from a rift... What exactly did you find? Has that item changed any since then? Does it behave as expected? [He really wants to find out if there are a bunch of freaky enchanted things just laying around, like time bombs waiting to explode. Well, you never know...]

It hasn't changed at all, that I've noticed.

I'm glad that it hasn't suddenly backfired in some terrible way. [He's very Serious about that, because you know, it very well might happen.]

And no, it's not any magic I was taught. Maybe the Tranquil would say differently, but I've never heard of them enchanting backpacks, at least.

[It's nothing he's heard of, either, but who knows anymore, these days? Things have just gotten stranger than usual.]

For what it's work, I'm pretty sure my roommate had some too; unlike my friend and I, she's a native without an anchor shard. But it's been a while, so I'm not 100% sure of that part.
Can I ask why you're asking?

I'm sure if there were any unpleasant effects, you would be aware by now. That's... encouraging.
Mostly, I'm asking out of curiosity. I'd heard something about it happening, but have yet to come across any true examples. Until rifters and items started appearing, the only thing to come out of rifts were demons.

[She's rather disappointed now.]
Despite the need to close them because of the demons - I would rather like to see if there are enchanted objects about. They might help with my corruption research.
[They are, after all, items from the Fade itself.]
Do you want to go treasure hunting?

[But he's heard enough about it happening, that it can happen, that he wonders what the consequences of all of this might be, someday.]
There needs to be a stronger effort to close them, if you asked me. [They're doing all they can, though, he knows this. But. Well. Sigh, he may as well help, if only to keep her out of trouble. The research, he knows, would also be extremely valuable. Then he can either breathe a sigh of relief over it all being safe, or say 'I told you so'.] But I'm willing to join you, if you'd like.

[She makes a soft noise of thoughtfulness, before she stated calmly.] I agree - but until we get more actual Rifters, I don't know how we will get them closed without them.
[A quiet smile.] Thank you, Fenris.

[ He sounds very proud. ]
I think they behaved as expected, but you'd have to ask all the women I gave them to to make sure.

They weren't possessed secretly by demons somehow? I'm almost surprised by that. [No, he doesn't know how that would exactly work, but the thought of creepy things hitching a ride from the rifts, somehow, keeps bothering him.]
It makes you wonder how these rifts work, that they would pick up such... seemingly random items. And whether there's someone in some far off world missing them... [If that's how this all works, anyway. The rifters come from other worlds, so why not these?]

You were fortunate that it wasn't any heavier. Does it seem to be a make of armor from somewhere in Thedas?
[Knowing things come from all over, he's curious to find out.]

None of the bottles or their contents have changed from my knowledge, and work as intended.

[But now, of course, there's a burning question] ...Are these otherworldly beverages very different from what we have here?
no subject
Unless they're of... certain 'technology'. [Or so Kirk and a few others have pointed out.]
The idea of alcohol doesn't seem different, but from what we've opened, I'd say tastes better then most drinks we have.

It...isn't magical, or anything. It's just kinda fun. Certainly hasn't done any weird changing. Behaves like you'd imagine a pair of shoes with wheels to behave like.
no subject
I'd imagine such an item would make it easier to get across Kirkwall faster, if nothing else... [He's trying to see the practical value in this thing. It's just such a weird idea.] Do you use them very often?
no subject
If they have any enchantments, I haven't found them yet. Maybe there's one that makes the skates introduce my face to the pavement more than usual. Or one that'd cause me to burst into flames if I try it during the harvest moon? Sprout wings if I jump off a cliff with them? Who knows.
[ She sounds remarkably nonchalant about the potential. ]

To my knowledge, all entrances of Rifted persons have been accompanied by objects. The clothing upon their bodies, at the least.

Then you have an unusual text... with an account of some far off world? [It'll never not be weird to think about that.]
