WHAT: Kain got himself injured and has been really out of it this month. Now he's come to! And he's taking the last step before he confess something to someone.

[Kain sounds very weary, just a bit out of it somehow. Though at least he's finally up for using the crystal, for the first time in a good while. It worked well enough last time he had something nagging at his mind, so why not now? It's technically related, since he figured out what he has to do, but... it's not going to be easy.]

If there was something you had to tell someone, and you weren't sure how to approach it... where would you even start? I'm not sure if I... [He trails off, letting that whole train of thought go, not having any way to complete it. He's had too much time to think, lately.]

I'm getting far too restless here... if anyone can manage to help me sneak out of this place, I'll owe you.

It was so much easier escaping the tents back in Skyhold. I miss that.

[It doesn't sound like a bad idea, to Kain in his current state. He'd get to escape, right? He's not thinking clearly at all... he definitely has yet to fully shake the infection that had set in. But, then, another thought strikes him suddenly.]

Inessa will... she'll probably scold me for that. I couldn't...

Perhaps consider what would be best for you rather than what the reactions of others would be. Impact, rather than expecting others to help you control yourself.

I don't expect them to... [He breaks off with a sigh, a weary sound, realizing that perhaps he's... gone too far. Again.] I apologize. I don't intend to make this so difficult, I swear it. But I've gotten restless and... this is what happens.

What happens should be you ask your friends for a book, or to bring cards and have time to game with you. What happens should be multiple lectures sinking in because you are a Grey Warden, a member of a team, and we should be able to rely on you to do what is needed for the team.

But I always do what's needed, when I'm out there in battle. Always. I push myself harder than most, I do everything it takes, I give my all for the sake of others...

[Perhaps too hard, and too far and at times when he shouldn't, and that's his problem. No ability to tell when he ought to slow down.]

You don't give all of your patience. That's what I want more of, Kain. Give your all when it comes to patience with the healers you're making more work for, please.

[He sighs heavily. It's definitely not easy for him...]

I'll try. As best as I can anyway. I promise, I don't mean to... to make things that difficult for any of you. Not truly. I've just been frustrated. This healing is taking much longer than I'd like it to.

Don't try. Do. You are a Warden and I am asking you to not make things harder on your fellow Wardens. Think of the team, including your healer. Think of the extra work you are putting on my shoulders and then on everyone else who you require to assist you in your prolonged recovery.

I don't mean to... Right. Sorry. I shouldn't make excuses, that's not fair to you or anyone else. I'll find some way to deal with this impatience somehow. I mean... some constructive way.
