[ OPEN ]

FORM: Sending crystal.
SENDER: Thranduil
RECIPIENT: Kirkwall Inquisition
WHAT: Field trip to finally go to Solasan
WHEN: Present
WHERE: Kirkwall
NOTES: Anyone who was involved originally gets first dibs.

It has not escaped my notice, despite all recent events, that I have been in Thedas for one year. [ he lets that sit for a moment. ] Thanks are in order; first to the Inquisition as a whole for their continued hospitality and second, to my own people, for their kindness. Ma serannas. I am pleased that there are elves in worlds other than Arda.

[ his tone switches as he gets into the meat of the announcement. ]

Several months ago, the Seeker and I came into possession of a key. With the events in Orlais as well as the move, we did not have a chance to use it until recently. I am seeking volunteers to travel west. The area, under Inquisition control, presents no dangers beyond local wildlife and the standard dangers of the desert, but I would advise that only those confident enough to handle themselves in combat come forward.

And, ah-- [ styled as an afterthought, but far too deliberate. ] I would like someone confident with written Elven.

Ah, thank you. It'll be my pleasure to come along. Though-- [ A small hum of thought. ] --It's odd that there would be no mention of it. Maybe it was simply lost to time. Or...it could be that the temple was dedicated to a member of the pantheon that you might not want to openly worship.

The Dread Wolf, perhaps, or the Forgotten ones. There are some...harellan that worship them. Forsake their people for the corrupt power they grant.

--But. It could be a much more mundane reason. I wouldn't jump to conclusions until we get there.

[ Slightly surprised, like it hadn't quite ever occurred to her: ]

I...suppose she would? She and the hahrens were the ones who told me about them, after all. Mostly as a warning. Don't let anger and revenge drive your heart, and what not.

[ She gives a shrug, before realizing that wouldn't quite make it across the crystal, and makes a small noise of affirmation instead. ]

I'm curious, but I guess we'll see. I rather hope it's an Elvhen temple, though. It's been a while since anyone has found a new one. If it's been under lock and key for a great deal of time, there's no telling what new knowledge could be gained.

At the least, you can ask during the party afterwards. I'm sure she'll have time then, and that she'd be willing to set some aside for you.

[ Even Deheune seems to be a bit in awe of him--and what Dalish wasn't, really. ]

Ah, well--It can differ, pretty wildly, sometimes. Most important is the written word, books or paper, anything that we can gleam knowledge from about our lost heritage. There are also artifacts, some defunct, and some still holding great power. The latter are usually only handled by Keepers, lest some poor sap manage to combust himself, or something. Even things like mosaics and murals can be useful.

I've gone with other Hunters into a few, but all I found were demons and giant spiders. I heard a few clans have had to deal with darkspawn, though how they got into the ruins is anyone's guess.

Um--Leave it, usually. It's hard to extract them, and you risk permanently damaging them. They're not either to transport either, and we have to try to not weigh ourselves down too much.

I think the best bet would be to try to draw it, and take note of where it is, so others can visit it, if they wish.

But you can feel free to ask for other opinions, of course. The Inquisition doesn't have the same concerns of a clan that has few resources and must do a lot of travelling.
