[ Dany has no earthly idea if the sending crystal (as they call it) is working. If she speaks to an audience of no one or if the entirety of the "Inquisition" can hear her cautious, hesitant voice. She's had conversations through it, has had time to marvel over its magic, and after nearly two months within Thedas, finds herself ready to finally announce her presence, for whatever it may be worth. ]

Inquisition: I am Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen. I am a... "rifter," as you say, and one not of this world. There are no others from my own home, though those who have helped me thus far in yours have been very kind. Not many are kind to strangers, in my experience.

[ Not to the Beggar King and his sister, at any rate. Not to a young girl with three dragons, a tiny khalasar, and not much else.

... Speaking of that, though. ]

My family was of Westeros and our sigil bears a dragon because of our kinship with them. If there is any sort of expert on the beasts here, I would speak with you. I left behind three dragons of my own in the Dothraki Sea, and... I want to know what those in Thedas are like. That they live in such numbers is... incredible.

[ Would they take to her the way her own three had? It's a dangerous curiosity. ]

I would prefer we speak of this in person, but I hardly know how to direct you to my location.

[Yeah, that'll take a moment to process.]

I am no draconologist, though I'm aware of what is common knowledge; that dragons were thought hunted to extinction, only to return, thus causing the Divine to give this current age its name. They are powerful, untamable beings, with a variety of deadly skills and a breath attack of either fire, lightning or ice. I have seen them, though only from a distance. I have yet to fight a high dragon...and to be completely honest, I'm not certain I would survive such an encounter, at least not to its defeat.

Yes. [ Babies, for now, but she knows without question that they will grow. ]

I have never heard of a dragon wielding lightning or ice. [ Dany comments, eyes widening a little in surprise. ] They are known for their flame, in Westeros.

[ And now, soon, Essos. ]

Is that to say you've fought other dragons? Lesser than a... 'high dragon?'

Oh, some Thedosian dragons can breathe fire as well. They're quite a diverse species.

And I have...smaller dragons and dragonlings. They're nowhere near the size of a high dragon, but they can be dangerous, especially when they cluster together. I would never recommend fighting them alone.

...how is it that you come to own such creatures? Aren't they untameable? Or is that different in your homeland?

[Hey, she remembers that voice. Korrin's own is tired and somewhat off-sounding, but she still replies.]

I'm not with the Inquisition forces right now, anyway, but I can make this private if you'd like.

Absolutely. By default, it will send messages to everyone but you can decide to refine the message's intended recipients as needed. You just touch the crystal and say their name or names and you're done.

As I said. [ She confirms, nodding, though he can't see it. ] The Targaryens can bond with dragons in a way that no others can. We live with them, ride them.

I fear that few worlds have such a ... benevolent relationship with their dragons.

[ Has he been listening? Yes, but as a Rifter as well, the amount of information coming at him that's "new" has been overwhelming. ]

I'm Shino Inuzuka. When you learn more about these native dragons, would you be up for sharing that information? Or even talking about the dragons you share kinship with in your own world.

[ No pretending it's for any purpose beyond his own curiosity right now. ]

I would. [ Probably. Unless anyone means them harm, which she won't abide. ] If I am able to contact you, that is.

[ She still doesn't quite understand the sending crystals, alas. ]

I can tell you of my own. Other than that, my experience is limited to stories I've been told all my life.

[ And more recently by Ser Jorah, who had given her that book as a treasured gift for her wedding. ]

My f— [ friend, he was about to say friend, and he has to pause to prevent that and also to reevaluate all of his choices, all of his values, everything that led him to this point ] —fifteenth least-favorite apostate has been collecting information on dragons. You might want to look for her. Her name is Morrigan and she's only half as mean as she looks.

I only know how to fight them without being eaten. So far.

Apostate? [ She questions lightly, but that isn't exactly the point, here. ] ... "Morrigan." All right, I'll find her and ask.

[ Dany assumes the 'apostate' is in Skyhold, or will be, once the Inquisition regroups there... at one point or another. ]

Fight them? [ Now her query is touched with wariness. ] Only a fool would fight a dragon. They aren't so easily felled.

[ Hers are only babies, so that's a different story, but she isn't about to let them come to harm. ]

Well met, Daeneryrs Stormborn. I am Leliana, also called Sister Nightingale. I am Advisor and Spymaster to the Inquisition. I apologise that I do not know of your family; to claim a connection to such powerful creatures... your line must be an impressive one.

( She taps her finger idly against the table, just for a moment. ) Are you in Skyhold, presently? Or are you with Inquisition forces on some other mission?

[ Dany knows only bits and pieces of Thedas and of the Inquisition, but she's heard of the organization's spymaster. She makes note of the cadence of the voice, happy to have this powerful stranger complimenting her family, despite... circumstances. ]

I am in - Halamshiral. [ She says, after a pause. ] It's an honor to meet you, my lady. You would not know of my family and needn't apologise; I am not of your world.

[ So they say. She would show the mark on her palm if there were a way for Leliana to see. ]

[They're distant legends, in Logan's world, little evidence they were ever real.]

So they say. [ Though she has yet to come into contact with one in Thedas. ] Mighty and terrifying, if the stories are to be believed.

There's this guy called Kain, and he knows a lot about dragons! He's a rifter too, and he said that in his world, his father used to raise and ride dragons like they were horses.

Anyway. I don't know how much he's learned about the dragons here, but it looks like you've already got a lot of people who know about that. If you're curious about other worlds, you can ask him...? He's easy to spot, he has a parrot that calls people rude names.

[ "Kain," she notes, intending to find him soon after. ]

A parrot? [ Dany questions lightly, amused. ] ... I'll find him, then. Kain and his rude parrot.

Of course. [ She smiles lightly, though he can't see it. ] Yes, they are mine. Their eggs were stone and thought to be long-dead, but all three hatched... very recently.

[ In a blood magic fire, but. Details. ]

I think of them as my children.

Hang on a second. Back up. You had three dragons of your own.

[ Dany admits an unseen, indulgent smile. ]

Yes, my lord. Three, newly hatched.

Sorry, that wasn't exactly the most polite way to start off a conversation. My name is Hermione Granger. I'm a rifter, too; the dragons in my world aren't exactly domesticated, which is why I was so surprised. If you'd like, you can find me in the library, and we can talk more about our respective worlds. If that would interest you, that is.

Not pets. [ Nor slaves, she would one day say. ] They are more my peers. [ beat ] My children.

[ Not literally, but, you know. ]

They are not domesticated. [ Dany insists, but not harshly; Hermione is polite and inquisitive and the Targaryen is happy to speak with her. ] They are fierce beasts, ones not seen in a very long time.

[ There's a pause. ]
