There's... a nug out here.

There are lots of nugs out here. Restless rustling in the bushes, foraging for food, tiny ones learning how to run and hide. This one's different.

She's wearing boots. They're bright, and red.

Someone must have made them. Nugs aren't born with boots.

She isn't lost. She doesn't know she's meant to be anywhere else. But someone might be missing her.

Then it must have been abandoned by some asshole noble, once the entertainment value wore off. Only they would have coin to spend on making a nug shoes.

[She sounds a bit peeved, but it's more on behalf of someone so insensitive as to abandon a pet.]

[Given that the nug herself has a limited understanding of her own circumstances, Cole can't tell much about where she came from or why she's here. The most he can catch are little snippets.]

She used to sleep in a barn? [Offered as if that information might be of help. Maybe.]

Then maybe she'll like the one we have here. I think some of the mabari pups are still taking over the barn, though; they wouldn't hurt her on purpose, but they can be really energetic.

There's plenty of space in Skyhold for something so small. I will find her a place.

Good. Maybe keep those boots on her or some other identifier, so I don't mistake her for one of Leliana's and end up hauling it to the rookery.
