What a tumultuous time it is in this world. An empire at war, ancient protectors showing what many feel to be their true colors, strangers falling from the sky -- the more things change, the more they stay the same.

I am not of this world, though it bares similarities to my own -- namely a prominent disdain for the other and ridiculous class differences -- as much it it shows its differences. Empires rise and fall; I admittedly have little interest in wars that have played out hundreds of times in similar ways across hundreds of worlds.

However, I do want to know what you find interesting about this world, if you will share.

A great many things are not as stable as they appear. Even past apparent stability.

It could explain why those that are called "qunari" appear so different than the other humanoid races.

We don't have elves where I'm from. The only pointy ears that aren't fictional are if someone's doing some body mods to make it look that way. And, hey, they don't always mean elves. Could signify demonic or alien. Or fantasy. Dwarves we've got, but not as a separate race. And they're called little people. I think. Or midgets? Or persons with dwarfism? I don't fuckin' know.

And hell we do have aliens. Big ugly suckers with claw mouths and big meaty legs and ugh.

But we don't have anything like qunari. Again, unless someone's wickedly into body mods. I haven't seen horns before, though. Just like...bumps people put under their skin to look like nubby horns? It's weird as shit. Grey skin also doesn't really...happen naturally that I know of?

So yeah, I mean, that's really weird that they'd be a humanoid sentient race unto themselves but be hella different than just being short or being a stick with pointy ears.

No one seems to have written on their origins, but that is hardly surprising. Humans like to write about humans.

I'm not saying it's regular. Most people into body mods only go so far as tattoos or a couple piercings. That kinda shit's more on the extreme end of things.

Aliens are aliens because they didn't originate from Earth. Uh, our home planet. Humans I'm pretty sure are the only other sentient species, so that makes the not-humans from not-Earth the aliens. They're...extra-terrestrials.

But it does happen. I imagine it could be quite the fashion statement in my own world, if they knew.

Uh, yeah, they're pretty ugly at least from my standpoint. They're very...weird. Way different biology. I mean at least they've got two legs and mouths and hands? But their knees bend like a dog or a horse or something, and the fingers they do have are pretty claw-like, and you know crabs? Their mouths are like crabs. But with teeth.

Intergalactic space wars that span decades can be frightening, but man, look, the aliens are assholes with some shiny tech, but let me tell you that it's other people that fucked up my life more.

...I mean, if you wanna get super technical, other people fucked up my life because of the alien space war, so it's kind of still their fault...
