Ah, Skyhold. Terribly good to be back home. I'm certain you all missed me, didn't you?
In any case.
Clan Frandruil has notified me that they wish to send halla our way. Terribly considerate of Keeper Shoshanna to show such gratitude. I don't particularly care what the Inquisition wishes to do with them, so I defer to those part of Clan Ashara. They are yours, as far as I am concerned.
In any case, something of more immediate concern and interest to me: I've received a mark from the rift we dealt with. As terribly excited as I am to be blessed with this, I'd like to do a little more research on this. [And maybe remove it, but he has a feeling that's impossible.] Those of you already familiar with your own magical glowing green marks, please, enlighten me with whatever you know.
And before I forget: Sera, I've placed your things back in the room in the tavern. If you happen to find anything of mine left in there, it's yours to do with.
I think that ought to do it. I'll be in the tavern, drinking myself silly.

People should be allowed to live however they please. Whether that means abiding by tradition or veering towards a more modern viewpoint, the worst they should have to worry about is a civil debate about their opinions.
... I take it that's a pseudonym of sorts? Either way, it's very nice to meet you. I appreciate an open line of communication, especially when it comes to sharing knowledge. I don't see how things can get done otherwise.

It's a lovely ideal, isn't it? Yet, oddly, so rare. Everyone has trappings and expectations with their culture. It can either be quaint, or frustrating.
Yes, we'll go with pseudonym. Let's just say that I am less than fond of my true name. But truly, the pleasure is all mine.

People are allowed to want to follow in their culture's footsteps... just so long as that doesn't include infringing on the rights or endangering the safety of others.
Your given name can't be much worse than Hermione. You have no idea the trouble I get whenever people try to read it for the first time. At any rate, thank you for answering my questions. Perhaps we'll meet in person someday and you can show me the halla.

So you say. And yet, I've endured much from disapproving Dalish. Fortunately, most here don't care much. [Most.]
Suffice it to say, I don't feel my personal name suits me. That's really all it boils down to. But that's not much of a topic to discuss, is it?
Of course. I'll let you know when they arrive, my dear.

Then the other Dalish are free to disapprove. Just so long as they don't try to stop you from living your own life, they're just as welcome to their own opinions as you are yours.
It sounds like your name is a personal matter, and these crystals are hardly the sort of setting for that, especially when we've only just met. I'll leave it alone, then.
Thank you. I really do appreciate it.
