Since dreams are a popular topic:

Where do they come from? The Fade, here, of course, but what else is at play?

For those that don't know and don't particularly care for the first question: are you a better person than the one in your dreams or a worse one?

That where the spirit goes is not precisely a matter of belief. Whether or not Andraste was the Maker's chosen, yes - whether or not the Maker has turned His face from us - but not really the fate of the spirit after death.

But how does one determine if Rifter spirits and native spirits manage the same, traversing into the Fade? You already believe me a dream; what's to say I won't simply cease to be when this body inevitably fails?

They aren't your gods and you've shown a distinct lack of interest in the worlds and understandings of Rifters, so.

Is there reason for me to be interested in the worlds and understandings of Rifters? - The ones I don't have any meaningful relationship with, mind. Obviously I care about the stories of my friends. But for someone I hardly know...?

Intellectual curiosity? An interest in things different from your own experiences? [ Loki snorts. ] Not that it matters. Do what you will.

Intellectual curiosity is a luxury of those who have intellect to spare. I fear the entirety of mine is taken up by thinking rather intensely about our allies and our enemies. There is nothing to spare - alas - for learning intimately about people whose histories have no bearing on whether or not this war will be won.

[ A sharp sigh. Byerly is right, he wasn't terrible to him in the haunted keep, but he's also been very short with Sylvie recently, in public, and Loki isn't inclined to be too thrilled about that either. ]

You'd have to understand, I've fought wars but primarily with my family at my side, not just comrades.
