report: science club and the thaig of doom

SUBJECT: What’s this about?
PARTICIPANTS: Ellis, Tony & Wysteria
CLASSIFICATION: Private to Division Heads
DATE FILED: Early Cloudreach
STATUS: Ongoing
SUMMARY: In exchange for a small supply of a specialized form of crystal lyrium (and establishing a contact to acquire more), Science Club closes a rift in a lost thaig's treasure vault to enable the Carta to loot it.

REPORT:
Provost Stark,

Given the ephemeral nature of our time here in Thedas and the value of the resource, I thought it prudent to record a general overview of the time you, myself and Mister Warden Ellis spent in Orzammar should anyone later require a similar point of contact or material and neither of us be conveniently to hand in order to guide them.

Attached you will find a rough summary of the terms agreed upon with the Carta's representative including: an overview of the agreement to close a rift in a lost thaig's treasure vault in exchange for an upfront supply of refined and crystalized lyrium, a list of who I believe were our most relevant contacts (Bjarne, the Carta negotiator, our charming guide - I really did find Olina quite amusing, even if she was really only there to make sure we didn't make off with anything valuable once the rift was closed, et cetera), the current rate of exchange for the refined and crystalized lyrium as a basis for valuation should it be necessary to procure any additional material, and a brief summary of what was indeed provided to us once the rift had been closed.

Also included in this packet are my observations of the thaig, including a small map and a series of charcoal rubbings taken from various architectural elements found within. Humorously enough, I believe I have identified some commonalities between the design of various reliefs therin and the current crest of noble House Westergard. I wonder whether they were aware that they might have some connection to that place?

In any case, I look forward to utilizing these materials in our current and future work. I trust you will treat this record with the discretion it warrants, so on and so forth.
