SUMMARY: A team set out for the Minranter River west of Hasmal to find a potential population of Fade-touched nugs. Poachers had gotten there first, killing many nugs and capturing two. The team killed the poachers, rescued the nugs (and a bonus horse), and brought them all back to Kirkwall.

REPORT:

There was a population of Fade-touched nugs on the Minranter, as suspected. Unfortunately, word must have gotten out: most of them were dead, and had been killed less than a day before we got there. The poachers had set up camp nearby with the two surviving nugs and were mistreating them. We attacked the camp and killed the poachers; one got away. The nugs were hurt but alive, and they’re now being studied in the Gallows.

NEXT STEPS: The Fade-touched hides can be used for specialty leather, and the living nugs can be studied for the influence of Fade on animals.
