Greetings, dear Riftwatch. I was struck as we celebrated not so very long ago by the fact that I have now been a present member of this organisation for two years, which came as a rather startling realisation. Time passes far faster here than it ever did in Nevarra.

[ The tone continues, even if the last sentence was intended as something of a jab at her home - as much as she misses it, of course. The rest of her words sound somewhat more genuine now, however. ]

I wished simply to offer my thanks to those of you who have made my time here a most enjoyable one. For those of you who have yet to meet me - I should think you lucky for it. Not for my lack of charm, of course, but because I am a surgeon and I would hate for our greetings to come while you bled out on my table.

[ There's a small pause as she considers, thoughtful, almost idle, before she sighs softly. ]

This is really just to say I'm sure we'll meet one way or another, sooner or later. It seems I just keep bleeding, every time I go out.

I can write you a script, if you should like. It should work on, oh, at least the leader of diplomacy. That I can be certain of.

Unfortunately, that's the one I can be reasonably sure doesn't have it out for me.

It's difficult not to be. He's very charming.

I've heard. [ collecting gossip is a hobby of his, he's definitely heard. ] It's good to finally meet you — in as much as hearing your voice is really meeting you. I'm Vanadi, and still quite new around here.
