Hello dears!

I must say Orlais was not half so charming as camping in that lovely jungle, our accommodations left a great deal to be desired. I do hope we can have a more pleasant visit soon.

I did bring back the most delightful souvenir. However, I have the worst sort of problem as I've never had the occasion to keep a thing like this for myself. So I must ask: How does one go about preserving a severed hand?

Well, I don'ts rightly knows you're at faults. Seems to me the mummy-makings portion be mostly nobles and nobles is odd stone no matters how deeps you cut.

But I'll assures you, just 'cause you pickles something, it don't follows that you gots to eats it.

And truly? Why do they call it the same thing as the food if you're not meant to eat it?

Oh, well that's quite simple. The word comes from an old dwarvish term meanings salts-water. Down by orzzamar we hads these casts dug intos salts-bearing stone what we'd use for picklings, simplies just packs the hollows full of foods and pour ins the water. Works a treat!

O'course Pickles as you knows 'em is rightlies called pickleds cucumbers, but of course anythings can be pickled to preserves it. Just so happens that when you does it to foodstuffs, it remains edibles, largely.

What sorts of things does one pickle is Orzzamar? It doesn't strike me that there would be very much that would require pickling.

All sorts o' things. Y'got pickleds shelf fungis, all sorts of pickled roots vegetables. Pickled nugs feets is an especial treat, if I do says so myselfs.

'Course in the city proper you gets all sorts of surface pickles, on accounts of the imports and all. But that's nots exactly to be talked abouts in polites company.
