Right you lot, listen up. We've got our first case of grippe in the fortress. The sick room of the chapel is officially closed to anyone who isn't a healer or coughing up a lung. And if you are coughing up a lung, report to the Infirmary immediately for inspection.

No exceptions, division heads too. First person I catch refusing treatment in favor of work gets their knees broken.

If you're not currently drowning in excessive phlegm, mind you keep yourself warm and well wrapped when you're out and keep indoors at night. I would also strongly discouraged those who are inclined to not pay a visit to Lady Charlotte's establishment for the time being, I've already got six cases there.

There is a room adjacent to the Chapel that I believe was the previous Sisters' dorm. It's currently being used as a sick room for those with grippe, yes.

Madame, I've been one of two Chantry Sisters in attendance within the fortress for the better part of three months. I am fully aware of how frequently the Chapel is used.

There are several Sisters who hold open services in Lowtown who would be happy to welcome any of Riftwatchs numbers if you find yourself needing the comfort of the Chant.

Now I am unlikelies to become sick myself, on accounts of my superior attentions to hygiene, among other things, but lets just say for the sakes of it, that someones weren't particularly hygienic. Or polite.

Would you say a nice dunk in the harbor would be a good remedy? Always heard a bracing cold bath as healthy for the character. I'm sure you've gots a list of a few folks who wouldn't suffers much for it, a nice studious persons like yourself.

I did notice a distressing habit of the Orlesian nobility to cover themselves with perfume rather than bathing regularly. It's amazing the sort of things surfacers do.

Generally speaking, I think a good wash would do him some good, but given that it's gotten a bit cold, it would put him at a higher risk of lung fever. Regular pain to treat, that. Ain't dismissing the idea entierly, you understand, but keeping priorities in line.

I've twelve in Kirkwall I attend regularly. With the epidemic, I have forty split between myself and two Lowtown midwives. I've only the one who requires attendance in the Gallows presently.

The last time we had an outbreak that split our few Gallows healers between us and the city, we ruled it more efficient to simply move some of those from the city here, and keep our healer in one place.

However, sir, I insist that whoever has been administering the magebane be properly trained. Dosing food and drink is wasteful. I would also strongly recommend that Artemaeus be moved farther back into the dungeon, preferably to a cell with a closed door and no windows to reduce the risk of spreading illness to the guards.
