SUBJECT: Venatori/Mortalitasi Connections
PARTICIPANTS: Ilias Fabria, Caspar Perakis
CLASSIFICATION: Public
DATE FILED: Kingsway 10, 9:45
STATUS: Complete
SUMMARY: Following up on suspected Mortalitasi and Venatori connections after red lyrium was found in the remains of Berenike Averesch, previously taken from the Grand Necropolis. Investigation of Speaker Nancollas and his Tevene lover, Estoris, confirms Venatori involvement in the recent freeing of Estoris' brother-in-law, possibly as an exchange of favors. Heavy implication that the Venatori have agents in Nevarra/the Necropolis.

REPORT:
Recent studies have discovered red lyrium present inside remains taken from the Grand Necropolis. At Ilias Fabria's request, agents have done some digging into Tivadar Nancollas, the Mortalitisi guide from the Inquisition's ill-fated visit to the Grand Necropolis, and his Tevene lover, Estoris, to confirm any Venatori links.NEXT STEPS: Seek out contacts in the Mortalitasi that are trustworthy, preferably with access to heads of state, and inform them of our suspicions. They'll have both the resources and incentive to root out any Venatori sympathizers in their midst.Estoris was joined in Nevarra City by his sister, her husband, and their children shortly before the invasion of Orlais. Their home is paid at Nancollas' family's expense. Estoris' brother-in-law was previously a slave. Reportedly purchased and freed very recently by a Tevinter Laetan mage in the lower ranks of Venatori sympathizers. Under orders? Nancollas has not changed his story or routine. Slightly quiet on the political front.
The timing of the brother-in-law's arrival and the involvement of the Venatori in his freedom suggests an exchange of favors. High likelihood that at least Estoris was, or is, working as their agent within Nevarra. Nancollas' proven involvement remains tangential, but it should be assumed he is allied to Estoris. He would have direct access to remains and is still under suspicion for the incident during the Inquisition's formal visit to the Necropolis.
NOTES & LINKS:
Background:
- Inquisition tour group attacked in the Grand Necropolis, causing extensive damage and souring their relationship with Nevarra.
- Redemption in Nevarra: Inquisition members investigate the above, bring home Berenike, and learn that their Mortalitasi tour guide, Tividar Nancollas, had a Tevene lover, Estoris.
- Party in Privantium: The Inquisition uncovers a rumor that there is more to be learned about Estoris in Qarinus (aka Ventus).
- Riftwatch members examined Berenike, an unusually aggressive mummy borrowed from the Grand Necropolis after the attack on the Inquisition there, and discover red lyrium.
