FORM: Sending Crystal
SENDER: Merrill
RECIPIENT: Everyone
NOTES: she back
[ The audio starts, unfortunately, with a very loud sneeze. ]
My goodness-
[ A distant voice, some fumbling sounds, and then: ]
Oh, no. It turned on for that?
[ Yup, that's definitely Merrill. Despairing slightly. ]
Well- erm, hi. This is Merrill! I've finally gotten out from... well, where doesn't really matter so much partially because I'm not entirely certain where I was for parts of it but I'm back! Freely available! I would say I have office hours but it really depends on what's going on, so...
Erm, if you need anything, let me know? And welcome to everyone who's new!
Would anyone like to go ride griffons?

Are you allowed to do that? Invite people to ride griffons?

Well, I don't see why not. If the griffons don't want to be ridden, they'll let us know, but we do have to use them on missions at times.

[All right is Matthias' attempt, always, to stay cool. He has to stay cool. He'll act a goon enough when it comes time to actually ride a griffon. Is it cool to be a passenger? In some cases, maybe not, but in this case--in the case of griffon-riding--it's got to be cool.]
I mean, if you like. Whenever you've the time. Sure you've loads to do now that you're back and all.

[Oh, Creators.]
Well. So. We found the Temple of Mythal.
And. There were actual ancient Elves of Arlathan still living in it. You know, the immortal... kind? They were all... tall, and have Mythal's Vallaslin, and...
And then of course there was a rather large fight with the Venatori over who got to own the place. Which I think we sort of won? For a given value of the word.
private
[ WELL. That's... quite a lot. ]
Did... well, did the ancient elves survive?
private
[It's a thank goodness kind of "yes."]
There was this artifact, sort of like a pool. They called it Vir'Abelasan, and said it held the combined ancient wisdom of old Arlathan. They wanted to destroy it, to keep it out of the wrong hands, [a motivation that hardly needs explaining, he thinks, not to a fellow Dalish elf, however horrifying the loss itself.] But! But we— That is to say, all of us, convinced them not to.
They bottled it up, somehow, and brought it away with them. They said they'll answer questions! I wish you'd been there to see it, it was just the kind of thing you'd have loved... but I did make a drawing. It isn't the same.
