NOTES: This is Norrington's job, so feel free to know something about his reputation for hunting down blood mages. He's kinda famous for it.

Good morning, Inquisition.

I have just received notice from a local noble of a possible blood mage disturbance, about three hours south west of Sarnia, in the village of Montemps. As is my duty to the Order, I am going to investigate. Normally I would simply bring my men with me, but they are needed here for securing our lines against the Red Templars, and possible future dragon attacks. I'm looking for a few individuals to come with me - those preferably with strong stomachs and sharp eyes. If there is blood magic being practiced, it more than likely will not be a pretty sight.

Please inform me as soon as possible if you wish to join - I will be gathering supplies and leaving within the next two days as soon as the field allows.

Alas no, I am in Emprise du Lion. However it will take a few days before I am ready to leave so we can wait for you.

I would never dare. You'd throw me off a rampart. But they will probably be heavily desiccated, so don't ... eat anything heavy.

See something you miss? I'm hardly a blood mage hunter. With my luck, I'll stumble over a body.

I certainly hope you won't stumble on the sacrifices.

I certainly hope so as well. It'll ruin my whole day.

Well we certainly cannot have that.

Good. We're both in agreement. I'll be riding along with you. Think of me as a... chaperone, of sorts.

What precisely are you chaperoning me for?

Without your men you will likely have need of someone experienced with dispelling. [ It is not to her taste, hunting mages- but she cannot allow him to wander unguarded against such things. ] I will join you.

[There is a long pause, before he speaks slowly.] I know you have the stomach for it, Lady LeBlanc. Will you still have it if I need to take down the blood mages?

You know I cannot use my magic to do harm. [ Depending on the severity of the offence, she'd advocate for imprisonment, some manner of trial. But they do not know what it is they will find. ] If there is no other option and they must die? Make it swift.

I know. [It did not mean that he would not have to use his sword, or at least his abilities.] As swift as I can.

That is all I ask. [ That she can ask is a marvel in and of itself. ] Let me know when you are prepared to depart.

You said a noble sent notice? Did they give reason why they think it could be blood magic?

Well, he said that templars that had passed by there a few months ago had never returned. He feared foul play, considering that they had been looking for apostates.

Our templars or rogue templars? Not saying we shouldn't check, but I would think those are important details.

For one I don't want to be going in there assuming we're there to check out mages and it turns out it's the templars we should be worrying about.

I am not entirely sure this gentleman would know the difference, but if they are rogue templars then we still have an excellent reason to check this out. In situations like this, I like to tell my people to prepare for everything, so do the same.

Perhaps he wouldn't, but do you remember if any of our templars were dispatched to around that area?

Not one of ours.

Unless they are more rogues who haven't come in from the cold.

Well for funsies we can always guess they were some red templars who hadn't yet turned.

Absolutely not. Every Rifter I have met has been a reasonable sort. [Outside of one Dalish mage but he was hardly going to hold that against Sina.]

[Typically leaving the hunting of blood mages would be strictly Templar work. But their numbers are thin, needed elsewhere, and possibly facing a conflict of interest of Inquisition Needs over Templar Duty. And it happens to be Vivienne's favorite Knight-Commander that she would be devastated to lose should things turn ill.]
