I would first like to congratulate those that survived the battle. You fought well indeed.
[ But that isn't the main purpose of her announcement today, and it would be silly to pretend otherwise. ]
Second, I should send a formal 'you're welcome' to anyone who was treated by myself - and, I suppose, any others - during and after the fighting. I understand that it was a trying time and it has been painful for us all, but we did what we were capable of with our hands and our strength.
[ And, idly, with an air of being not even the least concerned: ] I have received no flowers, so I imagine it is a matter of not knowing my name rather than a lack of gratitude.
[ All they did on the field of war could not have been enough, but the sourness she feels about it is something she is not willing to dwell on right now. Instead, she focusses on what she can, which is appearing arrogant and confidence in the midst of the weariness of war. ]
If anyone requires further aid or support then, please, do feel free to contact me. I am at your beck and call, Inquisition, as I have always been.

not here......
The handwriting on the unsigned note is recognizable:]
Not a Cousland either but they'll keep the moths away.
Thank you again. You still are a marvel.

[ her voice is bright, airy, and... ]
Perhaps some fine wreaths to those who are incapable of thanking us with proper effusiveness for our work!
Or at least to their families.
[ ...fueled entirely and completely by spite. ]

private foreeeever~
How can she, Gigi, really!
[ of course, Gwenaëlle might have said the same about her, once, waving a bottle from the Tournament tents, excited by the novelty and pageantry of it all. That Alexandrie would have certainly publicly complained of not receiving proper accolade for providing such services as she was able to (honor and duty had always been Geneviève's domain). That Alexandrie would have stayed in Kirkwall.
and then there's the interminable flirting which, damn it all, she was as guilty of, but it's different (it isn't).Perhaps this was Sidony's Minrathous. Perhaps she simply did not know how to process it. Perhaps she, too, has nightmares. There is some guilt in her now, but Alexandrie is bound to her uncharitable feelings like a hawk in its kill, and she mantles her wings over them peevishly for a long quiet moment before stepping onto Gwen's outstretched glove. ]
Where shall I find you.

Are you in Hightown? I've been at my grandfather's.

[ Softly, with very little humour: ] I saw no reason to announce it and remind the Inquisiton of their pain when I might give a hopeful reminder that they have healers who will always tend for them.

Ah, my lady, you might not have noticed their appreciation of your work, since they did not proclaim it—or at least, apparently not in a satisfactory way.
[ Gwenaelle's bottle will be one mouthful lighter, when she arrives, although she does finally make the allowance of swapping to a private message. ]
I saw you at work. Tireless, unstinting, taking nothing for yourself that you thought might better serve another. I have never known anyone who works in such a fashion to complain so publicly of lack of accolade. What need to add such words to your kind reminder of care?

[ Sidony decides immediately that she does not have time for this. She appreciates what Alexandrie had done for her on the field of battle, of course, but she has very little time for this sourness. ]
Perhaps I distract myself as well. You do not know my mind, madame.
