There's the option to self-report via npc if your character wouldn't but you'd like to. If you'd like to report on other characters please check with that player first but I know we got spies and shady folks and that's fun but let's make it fun for everyone!

Greetings Inquisition. In light of the negotiations some of your number participated in there are of course promises to be upheld on the Inquisition's end. Namely concerning magic or abilities those among you called rifters possess not native to Thedas as well as magic outside the Circle.

If you'd complete this survey, you'd have our gratitude. If you will have it, you'll have the Chantry's gratitude too: I needn't have to tell you the importance of not sitting idle, all of you.

We'll be available if you'd rather do this in person but copies of the survey are available in the Chantry Relations office.

As with the medical surveys and the information we’re keeping on the shardbearers, this will be maintained--and transferred to the Chantry--under a cipher. If you’ve further concerns about what might be done with what we’ve gathered, [and Myr’s tone says he very well knows there will be,] I’d ask you bring them to me as the new head of Chantry Relations.

[Not for him this whole formal announcement stuff; or, more likely, he’s had too much on his mind to make one. Nevertheless, a splinter of his usual humor:] I’ll be with the surveys in the office.

Lots of things can be done all sorts of ways, unless the only good you're really doing anyone is breaking into places.

[Oh, here she was hoping to breeze away from this conversation. Reluctantly, she allows herself to be reeled back.]

[rathercommon]

[ Weak to politeness and propriety. Good. Duly noted. ]

So then yeah, naturally. Houses have got documents that can be stolen and altered. So that's one of the things I can do. So what can you do?

[heirring]

[Oh, this is a waste of effort or thought when it's clear she isn't going to be given much of any context whatsoever. How is she supposed to answer intelligently if all she's doing is jabbing as some monumental block called 'slavery, generally' in the dark? With the air of a great held sigh, she soldiers on.]

My penmanship is respectable. I play the flute and have a passing head for solving puzzles. I've also been told I'm rather fun to dance with at parties. Then of course there is the magick, but we've all agreed not to discuss that. Pray Kitty, do point a hopeless young woman in some useful direction.

[ Kitty altogether misinterprets her air of exasperation. ]

All right. Apparently you don't care that people are enslaved. I guess if that's your position, then I'm not gonna budge you from it, since it's completely incomprehensible to me.

[heirring]

[Wysteria altogether misinterprets Kitty's everything.]

Oh don't be so mean spirited. Of course I care. You're just being needlessly obtuse about the whole thing.

[rathercommon]

Do you? Care? Then why the hell are you talking about dancing, like this is a joke?

[heirring]

[Because we both know that the only reason we're talking about this at all is so one of us can feel productive in comparison, isn't it? But that's so rude a thing that even Wysteria bites her tongue around it in favor of:]

It's not a joke. That's what I'm good at.

[Which is true enough.]

Okay? I'm not asking what you're good at. I'm brilliant at fixing machines when they get jammed up, but that doesn't matter here. I'm asking what skills you can bring to the problems this world's got.

[heirring]

Aren't my skills and what I'm good at one and the same?

[rathercommon]

Yeah, they are. But I'm trying to get you to give me skills that are useful. Like, what use would dancing be?

[heirring]

Quite a lot of gossip and schemeing and business gets done at parties while dancing, you know.

[Not that she's every been particularly keen on those last two.]

[rathercommon]

And do you do the gossip and scheming and business? And for what?

[heirring]

No, but I think I'd be capable of it. And certainly I'd be perfectly comfortable in that atmosphere, which I don't believe can be said for everyone.

[Not naming names.]

I think I could make a rather conniving spy given the right opportunity.

[No you wouldn't, Wysteria.]

[ Dismissively: ]

[Cue a blustering sound that must translate to 'Excuse you?!']

What - don't tell me that's a surprise, hearing me say that. Spies don't talk nearly as much as you do. They keep their mouths shut and listen.

[heirring]

Well you can't very well listen to much if the other person isn't engaged in conversation, now can you?

[So there.]

Typically, you try to listen in on other people talking to each other.
