[A message to the board was tempting but some things are best done with a more personal touch and short of visiting each and every possibility in person - and she has far more to do with her time whilst being unwilling to entrust such a thing to a messenger - and so the sending crystal it is. A new year and, once the weather clears, a new delivery for Skyhold though that can be addressed much later.]
Since the arrival of those who came through the rifts, tis more certain now than ever that much more knowledge is needed. To that end, I seek those of like minds to aid in research I have brought with me to Skyhold. Much of it is on magic so I would seek mages over any others, though so long as certain parties can keep civil tongues in their heads, I will not turn away whatever aid can be rendered. [Templars aren't strictly forbidden in the rare spirit of cooperation but well she knows Templars and ancient forbidden things.] The research I seek to carry out has a focus on elven magic and lore, as well as my own knowledge being that which is untouched by Chantry teachings. As such, my own supplies have been brought from Orlais and my former post, though if you wish to avail yourself of them, I ask that you do not remove them, they were...difficult to acquire. Some will have to wait until better weather allows safer travel up the mountain with more delicate items. Whatever tale, whatever scrap of knowledge you might hold no matter how small or foolish it may seem, it will always be valuable and I have spent a long time indeed delving into such matters.
If you wish to discuss this in person rather than a crystal, you will find me in the gardens of Skyhold, you are seeking Morrigan, if introductions are still to be made.
hello sorry

One would dearly hope that for your own sake you are referring to the one best described as a nutty old bat and not to present company. No accusations? Satisfied with your lurking?
[Lurking she’s been doing too but still, she’ll throw it in his face first.]
no subject
[ Creepy young witch, sure. ]
I haven't been lurking. I was here first.
no subject
[Oh it's so tempting to swoop at your head as a very angry raven Alistair.]
But you are here now, and there are questions I must ask and matters you are...uniquely versed in, compared to almost all others here. And I have the advantage in actually knowing you rather than having to make introductions.
no subject
He puts it back near his mouth quickly enough after the next bit, though. ]
Sorry, I think I'm confused. Use smaller words, maybe. Because it sounds like you're saying I might know something you consider useful.
no subject
I consider you somewhat more useful than your fellows here in that you have seen an Archdemon up close, but if it gives you some sense of childish satisfaction that even an actual child had grown out of [cough cough your freaking son cough] then yes, you may know something that may be useful to us all. Pleased with yourself?
no subject
[ Is he pleased with himself? It's a good question, honestly. Pleased with himself isn't a feeling he comes by easily, generally speaking, and being compared to a 10-year-old in the process of getting the answer he wants does put a damper on it.
But, on the other hand, it's much easier to be pleased with himself when he's being pleased with himself out of spite. (But xoxo he does care about you some way, Morrigan.) ]
Yes. I think I am. I won't even make you tell me I'm your favorite Warden first.
no subject
She's going to have a migraine before all this is through, it's already throbbing away at her temples and spreading outward but at least she doesn't have to see his face.]
Are we done then? Able to move to the actual matter at hand? I spoke with someone, not one of the Wardens, about Corypheus and this red lyrium, I hoped you might have some insight I might combine with theories of my own.
↠ private
[ One moment to deactivate his crystal, then reconnect privately. He's been liberal with dispensing Warden secrets, lately, and Morrigan is—not someone he particularly trusts, no, but someone he trusts enough to be more candid with privately than if everyone else were listening. She already knows too much. What's a little more? ]
There. Hello. Who did you speak with?
no subject
He brought up Red Templars, Corypheus and the Blight. And an Archdemon. Few yet live who can say they have seen one rage and as a Warden, you are the best judge of what it is. If it is truly possible. Red lyrium was mentioned too, of course.
no subject
Corypheus, though—he's a problem. [ Obviously. ] He's been around since the First Blight. From what I understand, he can command darkspawn like an Archdemon. And he can command us. Grey Wardens. They could never get close enough to kill him without falling under his influence, so they stopped trying. We had him imprisoned all this time, until recently.
[ Not secrets anymore, not exactly. The other Wardens may want to keep their secrets, but Alistair has a big mouth and a low tolerance for risking lives for things like secrecy. Still: not something they're posting on the message board, either. ]
I know alarming people is sort of your thing, but we are trying to avoid it if it isn't necessary.

[Troubled him enough to ask her questions or to come wake her when he didn’t before, not since he got older.]
I’ve met one of Hawke’s companions on the journey here, I suppose I will have to take her advice and see if I can get more of the truth from the dwarf. [Varric has to be less vexing than Oghren surely. She would have set Oghren on fire some days if she’d felt like wasting the mana and effort.
For a long time she’s quiet, thoughtful and considering, trying to slot the pieces into place against the Chantry stories, against all that she was taught and has learned since leaving the Wilds. Though she expected little good, she didn’t expect it would be this bad from the outset.]
If he was from the First Blight, he could very be one of the magisters. If the Veil is torn and demons are falling out of the sky, perhaps he seeks to accomplish what they attempted before, though this time with him as the god. Still, it answers little about the Red Templars. Tevinter will be watching eagerly but the Red Templars are no longer themselves, that much is plain to see and to have lyrium above the surface and growing freely?
[Look she’s probably restating known information but she’s willing to bounce theories off Alistair should he have any.]
When such stories are on the tongues of many, I would suggest that the horse has long since bolted. [And probably ended up in the cooking pot. But she sighs, quiet and soft, hesitating before actually saying part of the truth.] You forget that there is more than myself to be concerned with now, and things I would keep from ears that would understand them all too well.
