As I said, from my understanding and from what was stated by Knight-Enchanter Voss, the Inquisition has been pressed to consider the possibility and look into researching it by the Chantry and the Templars as a condition of destroying other existing phylacteries. It was not something proposed with enthusiasm from within the Inquisition itself, or considered, as you say, "desirable."

Your point regarding disturbance within the Inquisition ranks is precisely why I propose this move to persuade the Chantry to ease that pressure. We need to be able to focus on the greater concern we all face.
