The Dissonant verses were excluded, I think, because they rendered... some of those that the Chantry would see harshly condemned in too sympathetic or virtuous a light. The elves are more easily condemned and kept to heel if one of their own is painted a heretic, rather than a hero of the Andrastian faith, and the Exalted March on the Dales could be painted in less horrifying.
