The Chantry is... the organisation that governs the Andrastrian faith, worshipping the Maker and Andraste. The Maker created our world and the Fade, and Andraste is his bride, a mortal woman who fought against slavery and oppression. That is an extremely abbreviated explanation, there is a great deal more to all of it than that.
