Hello everyone! If you could do me a favor and not cut any of the long strands of twine you might see around the city, that would be wonderful. It's to help people get around. Myself included - lived here for years and I live for a while and can't remember where anything is!

[ Not that Merrill was very good at remembering where things were when she was in Kirkwall every day anyway, but. ]

If anyone else is having a hard time finding their way around, a ball of twine is the best way! It'll get you back to where you need to be.

[ She can't imagine some of the poorer folk not snipping it to use for something. ]

I'm still at Skyhold, but when I arrive, you'll have to show me around. Hopefully some nicer spots than what we saw the last time we were there.

Oh- yes, absolutely! The gardens in High Town are quite nice.

[ nevermind that they're not supposed to go there, either... ]

I'd imagine they would be!

[ Shh, she has stealth spells now. She'll go where she wants. ]

Having places where flowers grow in a city of stone would be nice.

[ But that reminds her of something: the tree that grows in alienages in every city. She quickly privates her message. ]

Merrill, would someone like me -- someone who has left her clan and looks at elves as elves, not false elves or real elves -- would I be allowed in the alienage to visit the people there?

[ She can cast a silence field and make a decoy of herself for escape purposes, but sadly can't turn others invisible too. Still, they can walk around all sneaky! ]

Oh, good! I'd like to meet more elves who grew up outside clans.

They're very nice! Well, most of them. I suppose that's true of all people.

Yeah, that's how I look at it. It's best to try and get to know individuals and see who they are than just assume everyone is a certain way.

[ Like all shems hating elves. Or all Dalish elves being savages. ]

I don't know why people would do that. It's never made sense to me.

[ Sure, some stereotypes can help you to start off with, but honestly. People are people. ]

Maybe from fear? People find it easier to paint everyone the same so they know what to expect and aren't surprised.

Oh, no, not at all. I suppose that's why they get so angry about everything not going their way.

They should relax more. What are those things the Orlesians have- spas? They should go there.
