Margaux... That's a beautiful name. I suppose it would have to be, in your case. It'd be terribly tragic for a beautiful woman to have a name that didn't match.

I - for instance - have a name that my mother picked out from a human book. My understanding is that there's even a human noble in Orlais who shares it. I hope he's at least a decent sort.

[He might be trying to get her to talk about Orlais now instead, but doing it in a round about way.]

Hm. I wonder... I don't know how popular it is with humans. I also didn't know my mother well enough to know her motives for giving it to me, though I've never encountered another elf with it.

The Dalish tend to give their young names that reflect the elvhen language, or that are inspired by the trees. Sometimes both.

We share our names with them, but that's all.

Are they pretty?

Dalish names? I think they are.

I think a lot of things about the Dalish are pretty, but they can also be very hard and unforgiving.

I would, however, say that about a lot in Thedas.

They aren't unique, no.

Exactly. Coming to the Inquisition has helped me learn that and it was one of the most valuable lessons I've learned.
