Hey, Inquisition. So I had an important philosophical question, but I figure important philosophical questions are kinda lame, so: who here is familiar with body shots?

Back home there's this... I think "tradition" is giving it a little too much credit. There's uh, this... ritual you can enjoy in the World Without Magic, where you lick some salt, take a shot, and then suck on some lime, or a lemon, many. Or you can enjoy the ritual by licking salt off someone's skin, taking the shot, and you grab the lime wedge from between their teeth. Usually you'd use tequila, some people are down with vodka, but I'm still working on finding out what a good Thedas substitute would be.

Anyway, I guess I was curious about whether body shots were one of those things that translated across worlds, because I know we sure as hell didn't have them back in the Enchanted Forest. I was also curious about whether your world - Thedas or others, for my fellow Rifters - had any fun drinking games to get into. Drinking rituals, drinking games, whatever.

And as a side note, I am also officially starting Scrabble club, at which I don't think there will be any kind of body shots, but we may have wine. I finally managed to figure out an approximate Scrabble boardish so if you like words and are anywhere from mildly to very competitive then you should totally join.

Add it, usually. Oh, you can do it with sugar, too. Depends what you're taking shots of, I think.

Sounds about right. Rum, maybe some schnapps? You could just really commit to the sweetness, but there's probably a line to be drawn somewhere.

There's still the natural salt of someone's skin to counter it, I'd think. Of course, I'm saying this when I've not tried it. Likely I'd prefer the salt. When we find an alcohol here that works with it.

Ladies are allowed to start it, but gentlemen are meant to be better than all that. ( Actually Ruby that's the opposite of how that stereotype goes, but okay. )

I think maybe Antiva'd be the best place to look, I think it's got the climate that'd most match where tequila comes from, but whether there's a plant that's the same, yadda yadda. Worst comes to worst I'll try brew something.

( There is the slightest sting to it, though it's more the faint twinge of a different shade of insult that has been slung at her as an insult for a long time and that she knows doesn't carry that history. It's just the resonance of being called terrible things for thirty years nipping at her. )

Right. I should ask Zevran. Or the Ambassador, maybe?

Please. Peasant ways are underestimated. We're better. And we outnumber them.

Zevran may be the best choice. I'm not sure if the Ambassador is quite as open about indulging in things.

Maybe. I try not to make too many assumptions about politicians and diplomats.

I find they're the most exciting to make assumptions about. Three-fourths of the time I'm nowhere near close to how scandalous they truly are, and the other fourth of the time is an exhilarating running away.

Oh, it can be exciting. I just, uh, have some close friends who are royalty, and have heard a few too many rumours about them.

( Even if most of those were circulating before the Curse was broken, and before they remembered who Mary Margaret and David and Emma truly were. )

And also one of them's a really good shot with an arrow. Yikes.

The part about Snow being a good shot, or hearing terrible things said about a couple of my best friends? Or, actually, about someone I don't like all that much.

As far as that list goes, I'd prefer the good shot story. And I doubt you'd want to tell me what's been said about your friends; they're your friends. But I'd not object to a follow-up on the person you don't like.
