Hey, Inquisition. So I had an important philosophical question, but I figure important philosophical questions are kinda lame, so: who here is familiar with body shots?

Back home there's this... I think "tradition" is giving it a little too much credit. There's uh, this... ritual you can enjoy in the World Without Magic, where you lick some salt, take a shot, and then suck on some lime, or a lemon, many. Or you can enjoy the ritual by licking salt off someone's skin, taking the shot, and you grab the lime wedge from between their teeth. Usually you'd use tequila, some people are down with vodka, but I'm still working on finding out what a good Thedas substitute would be.

Anyway, I guess I was curious about whether body shots were one of those things that translated across worlds, because I know we sure as hell didn't have them back in the Enchanted Forest. I was also curious about whether your world - Thedas or others, for my fellow Rifters - had any fun drinking games to get into. Drinking rituals, drinking games, whatever.

And as a side note, I am also officially starting Scrabble club, at which I don't think there will be any kind of body shots, but we may have wine. I finally managed to figure out an approximate Scrabble boardish so if you like words and are anywhere from mildly to very competitive then you should totally join.

I think maybe Orlesian definitions of "noble" are different from... all the other definitions.

It depends on how it is used, I think. There is a subtly to the language, little differentiation that are lost in this clumsier tongue. To wit, in Orlais, noble-blooded means very little. Everyone is noble-blooded. And related. It cases great trouble.

Whereas 'noble cause' means a great deal. You don't think your cause is noble?

Everyone. Every single person in Orlais is noble.

I'm not so sure encouraging a group of adults to get tipsy and lick each other is noble, exactly. Fun, maybe. But noble?

And of course you have phrased it wrong. The nobility of your cause is in its spirit. Drunken carousing? Wonderfully shameful. I am a great proponent of drunken carousing, and nearly have a degree in it. But not all share my thoughts on it, so to them we will say: this is an exercise that will build positivism and forge the bonds of friendship and closeness that are so very necessary.

And how could anyone argue with that?

Of course you'd get to choose. Anything else would just be awkward. That is not a team building, morale boosting exercise.

I've come to associate drinking and awkward to be hand in hand. Though that's a relief to hear.

I prefer to think of it as relaxed and fun, but I'm also used to being the one serving drinks, usually.

Hm, it can be. Perhaps it was just the people or situations that I was drinking that did it.

Why not? I think I would work very well with someone, after having licked salt off of their skin. We would be so close.
