To those of you that have arrived through the rifts, I have a curiosity I hope you might indulge. Dragon and demons have played a great part in shaping Thedas as we know it, as well as its history.  I know dragons to have existed in at least one world a rifter hails from, demons in another though not quite the same as the demons we of Thedas know all too well.  Whatever you might tell me of them, I should be glad to hear of it.  After all, I cannot entirely rule out that it might not overlap with my own realm of study and expertise.

Dragons and demons don't actually exist in my world, but they are part of several mythologies if that's any help.

Are they ever mentioned together at all? Or are they held separately?

Kind of depends, I think, but usually separate.

Demons then, are you acquainted well enough with those of Thedas to know if those from where you hail from are associated with any particular values, same as they?

I know there's the mythology for the Seven Deadly Sins and I wouldn't be surprised if certain faiths did ascribe demons to certain values like you do here. Most religions I've come across do have systems like that to some degree or other.

But to be honest I'm not a religious person and I never studied any in depth, just what I learned in minor reading and exploration, so I couldn't give you specific values or "names" of demons except for some of the more well known.

The Seven Deadly Sins? I believe I heard of them through another, but if you might be so kind, might you tell me them? So I know for myself. [It'll help her mark off things on her notes too.] Very few demons are named here. Gaxkang the Unbound was one, a strange and curious thing. Kitty was...quite another. [Also a cat. So...yes, really quite another thing entirely. Shah Wyrd she recalls too , and Jonas had told her of one in the very Wilds just prior to meeting her but two is quite enough for now.]

Are there so many religions then? We have the Chantry here, the Tevinter Chantry, the elves have their Creators though many in the cities believe in the Maker too, the Qun is...more a philosophy. And the Dwarves have the Stone.

Oh, uh, let's see, they're - Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Greed, Wrath, Sloth, and Pride. And I can't say I know any demon "names" except maybe "Satan", but I'm not sure if he's considered a demon, per say. It's from the Christian religion in my world. Don't think of any of them have a name like "Kitty" though.

Oh yes. Earth alone has many dozens, including subsets of one main religion. Most worlds I've visited have at least one religion, either currently active or in their pasts, ranging from singular deities to pantheons to, as you said of the Qun, philosophies.

Many of them sound alike enough, I thank you. Kitty was...unique. She was bestowed by a young girl encountered upon my travels with the Hero of Ferelden. A desire demon possessed her cat, if that was the name before or the one it chose, I cannot say.

Is there much conflict?

In Earth's past yes. Quite a lot of it actually. Now, though, no. There is some conflict on other planets, but most we have come across are largely "live and let live" sorts, or in the case of one religion, it's a non-issue.
