And I’ve seen it in the flights of birds

FORM: Sending crystal
SENDER: Morrigan
RECIPIENT: Open
WHAT: Asking questions of the rifters
WHEN: Current
WHERE: Skyhold
NOTES: feel free to swing by her office instead if you would rather!

To those of you that have arrived through the rifts, I have a curiosity I hope you might indulge. Dragon and demons have played a great part in shaping Thedas as we know it, as well as its history.  I know dragons to have existed in at least one world a rifter hails from, demons in another though not quite the same as the demons we of Thedas know all too well.  Whatever you might tell me of them, I should be glad to hear of it.  After all, I cannot entirely rule out that it might not overlap with my own realm of study and expertise.

If you would prefer to seek me out in person, you will find me in the gardens or my private study close to them.

I've heard all I care to about demons, but dragons from elsewhere? Count me interested. If you hear anything good in person, I'd appreciate the heads up. Maker knows I could use the distraction these days.

[Since most of it's spent either checking on Asher or getting things for him/his crew. Getting stories to share can count, too.]

I'm usually at the healing tents these days or lingering outside them, if that works. Otherwise, I'm fine with sending crystals.

Definitely. After dealing with them in the Fade, I can't say I'm keen on more demon talk unless there's an immediate reason to be briefed.

Oh, you mean Kain. Yeah, we've met. He's an interesting guy, though not one given to self-preservation. When he heard about the high dragons nesting in Emprise du Lion, I nearly had to sit on him to prevent him from going off to fight them all by himself.

...well. Having one couldn't hurt when Corypheus does, there's no denying that. I wouldn't bring it up to Kain unless there's no other way, though. To say he'd be eager to try would be an understatement, and I don't trust him not to run off and try it himself without waiting for backup.

You don't have to dance around it; she's my kadan. Though honestly, any stories about her world are best told by herself. I could never do them justice. She'd never encountered demons before emerging from that rift, so you can imagine how much of a shock that was.

[And then Korrin came to her rescue, it was all very romantic.]

Hermione's the one you'll want to speak to about dragons; somehow, despite magic being so secret that non-mages don't even know it exists, dragons exist. Don't ask me to explain it, even the fact that they're rare makes it hard to believe normal people would never spot them. And there were some other creatures that weren't specifically labeled demons, but might as well be. Jamie talked about dragons, too, though they're more things of legend in his world than anything else. He did fight one alongside me in Emprise du Lion, though, despite the lack of expertise. Good man.

You heard it before? Oh--right, I remember hearing about an actual qunari traveling with your group. Their own meaning is somewhat different, since they don't do relationships. Never understood that, but whatever.

I thought I'd have more trouble with convincing rifters that I wasn't a demon, to be honest. But despite none of them ever having seen someone quite like me, that hasn't happened yet. Knowing my luck, that will change next time.

...Flemeth helped the Hero of Ferelden and Hawke, didn't she? Do you think she might surface to help the Inquisition? [Sure, she has her own agenda and no one really knows what that is, but if that does happen, she doubts they could afford to turn her away.]

I can live with being thought a heathen; I've been called worse, as a mage and a Vashoth. As for their views of magic, it's really varied. Some had no idea it even existed until they were yanked here, while others are baffled at all the restrictions faced by the mages of Thedas, used to a far less fearful society. Or it's all hidden, somehow, which just sounds strange since some of that sounds just as flashy as what we have.

I'll keep that in mind, interesting as it would be to meet another Witch of the Wilds. I was more curious about the likelihood of that happening, not saying we should rely on it.
