[Quietly, he lets himself inside after Inessa grants him to. Thane shuts the door behind him, and he takes in the room quickly. The mabari earns a brief glance, but far from concerned; they are true companions that bond closely. He respects that.

[Garahel doesn't quite know what to do with someone who smells like a Red Templar but isn't attacking him. After a moment's hesitation, he presses his head against that hand instead of licking it as usual. Inessa nods solemnly, unable to deny the truth of Thane's situation. What good would false hope serve him?]

I am so sorry, Thane. I have no miracle to offer, but I appreciate the opportunity you give us to learn more about the substance and how it affects others. Whatever we can do to make your time here worthwhile, it will be done.
