FORM: Crystal
SENDER: Vandelin Elris
RECIPIENT: Members of the Hostile Powers project who are not currently imprisoned
WHAT: Conference call to discuss recent events
WHEN: After people have returned from Tevinter
WHERE: Kirkwall
NOTES: None

Enchanter Averesch and I-- [Because damned if Vandelin is going to dispense with formalities and titles just because he was told to.] --thought it best that we all confer about our collective priorities in the aftermath of Corypheus' assault. Priorities, strategies, suggestions for what we can each individually do.

Are we all met?

As far as I know, she is very old and was not in the best health before all of this. If she is rescued from Hossberg she may need to be rescued from the entire country. [ And she can't provide that much fire to a resistance on the other side of a closed border, is his point that he isn't going to actually coherently make. ] We can look into it.

Tevinter may have an easier time. They have more resources. Slaves aside.

Exactly why is that needed.

Why do I need to know where we may have people we can rely on?
justice_is_blond: (Stop in the name of)

[personal profile] justice_is_blond 2018-09-06 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
That's not it. You are not the issue. The issue is revealing names and locations of Resolutionists and it going further up the line of an organization lead by a Seeker and Templars.

I'm willing to give you one or the other. But I have to protect my people. You have to understand that.

I never asked for a name. It is a large country.
justice_is_blond: (All right then)

[personal profile] justice_is_blond 2018-09-06 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
You said the source must be accounted for. If that's not a name, I'm not certain what you meant by that.

And you began being secretive when I asked for a location. I am not going to tell my superiors that someone, somewhere, told something about somewhere to someone else, and expect them to rely on it. You can tell them that, if you'd like.

[ He doesn't need to spell it out. Yseult hmms, disappointed and thoughtful. They can look into it. ]

Dissent in Tevinter seems inevitable, it's a question of who and how many. Someone with more political expertise should identify the most palatable of the nobles who will object, and then we can identify how to support their efforts. Or push the if necessary.
justice_is_blond: (Actually let's go with that idea)

[personal profile] justice_is_blond 2018-09-06 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
Because I thought you wanted both. I'll give location, and consistent fake names for each source.

[The shortest of pauses.]

I may need assistance making up names.

Fuck.

No one knows. [ Clearly. ] I left Tevinter ten years ago.

Up until recently, I've spent my whole life in Tevinter. I should say I've had experience there.

[ She and Anders are being put on a new committee within the project called People Who Announce Contacts And Then Are Difficult About Details. ]

It is not an open channel, but if you would feel better speaking in person, talk to Vandelin.

[ Not him. He's already talking to people too much today for comfort. ]

Does it have to be the nobility?

In Tevinter? Yes. [ Hanzo is... Trying. ] I can... Help.
justice_is_blond: (A dark joy)

[personal profile] justice_is_blond 2018-09-08 04:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Excuse me. Hero of Purrelden and Lord Pawdric Howe are excellent names for cats. Isaac the Second perhaps not so much, but a point had to be made.
justice_is_blond: (Wouldn't that be something)

[personal profile] justice_is_blond 2018-09-08 04:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I could perhaps use my people to start instigating.

[The offer is hesitant. They're working mostly for future stability for mages and this could threaten that, but Corypheus is the largest issue.]
hassaran: (022)

[personal profile] hassaran 2018-09-08 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
It will be much easier to raise an effective opposition if it's headed by nobles. The sort of power and resources they possess aren't something we can replicate, and they're best prepared to engage with magical threats on this level.

We can decide what is necessary of anyone after we decide what we are doing.
