That's kind, but I'm not sure trust had that much to do with it. I found her when she was dying, and she was afraid the dragon who'd attacked her would find the egg and destroy it. I helped her to retrieve it, and that's when she charged me with caring for it. Perhaps helping her was enough to earn her trust, but I was also the only one there. Who wouldn't take the only empty port in a storm?

[ At least that's Aro's take on it. That doesn't matter, though. He'd made the promise to raise Iessa and that's exactly what he's going to do. She's alone in the world aside from him, and he identifies with that. They're both outcasts. That's why they get along so well. ]

Anyway, you don't need to worry about me. If I hate taking orders from the Inquisition, you can bet I'd hate it more from any demon. I get the feeling I'd get along well with your Tal-Vashoth. I hope I'm able to meet them.
