As you know, the Commander is a hard-working individual. He's sacrificed much to see the Inquisition come to the position it is now, and I'm sure I'm not the only one to notice how little time he takes for himself.

While it would be foolish to expect him to take an entire day for himself, even if it does happen to be his birthday, I thought it would make a nice gesture if those who were inclined might assist me in leaving a nice surprise for him in his office while he's out today. Small tokens, a note. Just a reminder that he is being thought of, and that he has friends here who care for him.

I have his schedule, so if you're wanting to deliver something, let me know. We should be able to arrange this fairly early in the day, before he holes himself up for the remainder.

Thirty-one, now. It's hard to believe.

I am. Forgive me, I forget sometimes that it's something I ought mention.

It's incredible to have a Commander so young, yet so capable. You must be very proud.

It's all right. I forget to mention something similar. I'm a Councilor on the mage council and I've only recently remembered that I should be telling people that so they know they can come to me with issues.

But anyway, I tend to leave Cullen flowers on his desk some days. I could pick him a particularly large bouquet for his birthday.

I am. We all were. And he continues to make us proud, every day.

Are you? That's curious. I'd heard of another Dalish elf on the council, but not of you. How unacceptable. We'll have to rectify that, won't we?

I'm certain he'd be pleased by the thought. Did you have any particular flowers in mind?

[ She exhales a laugh. ]

We have to share our council seat. Too many Dalish elves on the council and no one will agree to our authority. But I do need to let people know, yes.

[ Now she makes a humming sound. ]

Not really. It would be lucky if there was something here in the gardens that you two had around where you grew up. Do you know of any flowers like that?

Mmm. There were some red blossoms I remember growing wild on the hills outside. Rather common plant, but I don't know how they'd fare this high up.

I could ask. When would you like all the gifts to arrive by? If I'm unable to find any, I'll offer a substitute, and save the red ones for another time. Maybe a scout would be nice enough to bring me some seeds from the hills, and I have a friend who can speed up how flowers grow.

[ She's sure Sina will help. The two of them would get to see a pretty red flower they may not have seen before. ]
